About the NECHV

This past year has seen the Center’s human service professionals sustain and even expand its services to Veterans, despite the risks, complications, and burdens of the pandemic. Your support is a critical component in our ability to help Veterans in need return to a stable civilian life. NECHV is one of the nation’s most prominent private, community-based providers of human services to Veterans who are experiencing challenges following their military service. Since 1989, the NECHV has helped more than 30,000 Veterans regain control of their lives.

The NECHV:

  • Provides housing, clinical support, and education and employment services to over 1,000 Veterans a year.
  • Houses more than 300 Veterans on any given night. Offers 97 permanent homes on site, achieving over a 95% occupancy rate.
  • Successfully assisted 104 Veterans enrolled in a Transitional Housing Program obtain permanent housing last year.
  • Serves an aging Veteran population, with 60% being over 55 years old.
